How To Donate For Flood Victims In Pakistan

More than 1,100 people have died in Pakistan as a result of flooding brought on by the monsoon rains since June, and millions more are stranded and in need of immediate help.

This season, Pakistan has received almost three times as much as the country as a whole. According to the United Nations and Pakistan’s National Disaster Management Authority, 33 million Pakistanis, or nearly 14% of the country’s population, have been impacted by the ongoing floods, which have submerged a third of the country’s land.

Here are some ways you can help while the flood-stricken nation waits for more aid from around the globe.

Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan :

The nonprofit Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan has been providing humanitarian aid since 1990. Workers and volunteers from Alkhidmat continue to provide aid to those in need throughout Pakistan and the rest of the world. Disaster management, healthcare, education, orphan care, clean water, and other community services are among their dedicated offerings.

Muslim Aid UK :

The mission of Muslim Aid, a global NGO, is to help people, regardless of their political or religious beliefs, live better lives. In three Pakistani districts affected by floods, it has begun conducting a rapid need assessment.

Edhi Foundation :

Teams from the Edhi Foundation Pakistan have been rescuing people, and providing relief, including cooked food, dry ration packs, tarpaulin sheets, medical assistance, and other non-food essentials, in all of Pakistan’s flood-affected areas.

JDC Foundation Pakistan :

JDC Foundation Pakistan, a charitable and non-profit organization, manages liberation and rescue operations throughout Sindh.

Saylani Welfare Int. Trust :

An NGO called Saylani Welfare International Trust prioritizes feeding the underprivileged and homeless. It has been working for the past 22 years to improve the lives of those who are less fortunate, helpless, or disabled. It is attempting to help as many flood victims as possible.

Government of Pakistan :

The Prime Minister’s Flood Relief Fund 2022 has been established by the Pakistani government in order to assist those affected by the country’s widespread flash floods and torrential rains with relief and rehabilitation efforts. The Fund welcomes contributions from both domestic and international sources.

All commercial and microfinance banks are required to set up an account for the Fund and accept contributions in cash, check, pay order, and demand draft forms at all of their locations nationwide.
